Bespoke is the event catering arm of The Crown at Woodbridge, a nationally award-winning townhouse inn and boutique hotel
in charming East Suffolk and one of five properties in the TA Hotel Collection.
her husband Stephen David, taking a flavour of our award-winning style and cuisine to society weddings and parties
all over East Anglia.
Having specialised in outside catering for over ten years, this merger brings together one of East Anglia’s
most talked-about places and the expertise of this very experienced company.
Acquiring The Crown in May 2008, the new owners brought in Chef-Patron Stephen David to fulfil their vision
of a townhouse inn and boutique hotel for the 21st century at the centre of this charming riverside market town.
After a complete facellift, bringing a new joie de vivre to this historic gem, The Crown was ready once again,
to re-open (to great acclaim) in July 2009.
In Autumn 2010, Rebecca Mackenzie, Stephen's wife, merged her long-established event catering company with The Crown
to form Bespoke By The Crown At Woodbridge,
Becky is delighted to be once again working with Steve (having together created and owned Earsham Street Café in Bungay,
North Suffolk for 10 years. Before that, they ran the famous Hoste Arms in North Norfolk’s Burnham Market together
as General Manager and Executive Chef with the late, great Paul Whittome.
a privately owned group of very personal individual properties, including the Thorpeness Hotel, Golf & Country Club,
the continental White Lion Hotel & contemporary Brudenell Hotel on Aldeburgh seafront and the iconic Swan at Lavenham.
